North Carolina Autumn Mountain Engagement

Autumn is a beautiful time of year no matter where you live, but that’s especially true for us here in North Carolina! The changing colors and our mountain ranges are the perfect backdrop for engagement photos.

Jackie and Jim are a great example of how to play with fall colors and create a stunning variety of photos for your own engagement session.

Not only is the weather cooler so you’re not sweating off your makeup or through your clothes, but the way you can match the colors of your outfits to the foliage around you can make for some great shots.

I also love the drama and colors of autumn sunsets!

Neutrals are always a good choice when picking your outfit, but it can be fun to play around with things like burnt orange, maroon, mustard, or olive. 

Even a bold plaid or small floral print can photograph well (as Jackie proved with these stunner outfits!)

There’s pros and cons to any time of year when it comes to engagements and weddings, but truly, autumn is a beautiful time for an engagement session here in NC. What it ultimately comes down to is what will make you happiest!
